WHAT IS PERIOD 9?
The Age of Fire Has Begun
In classical Feng Shui, the astrological timing of the world operates on a Chinese Metaphysical system called the ‘Three Cycles, Nine Periods’ or in Chinese terms, 三元九运. It is derived from I Ching (易经). A complete 三元九运 runs for 180 years and it is split into three cycles – each cycle lasts for 60 years and each period lasts for 20 years.
The core structure of a 三元九运 consists of
- Upper Cycle (三元): Period 1, 2 and 3
- Middle Cycle (中元): Period 4, 5 and 6
- Lower Cycle (下元): Period 7, 8 and 9
Each Feng Shui period is associated with one of the Nine Stars, an element, and a Hexagram from the I Ching (易经).
Period 9 does not mean your home is suddenly wrong. It means the energy has shifted — and a fresh audit can reveal both what to preserve and what to adjust.
